A big thank you to We Are Tech Women for featuring our CEO and founder, Caroline Noublanche. We Are Tech Women is a platform that helps women advance their careers in tech, and celebrates inspirational tech leaders.

In the interview, Caroline details the career path that led her to launching Apricity. She co-founded mobile app Prylos, which she sold to Swedish giant Doro AB in 2011 at the mere age of 27. At Doro, she went on to become vice president, before moving to AXA-backed incubator Kamet Ventures as an ‘entrepreneur in residence,’ building and launching disruptive startups in the health tech space.

“I recognised that IVF had experienced very little digital transformation in the past 40 years and was an area in need of disruption – this led me to found Apricity, the world’s first virtual fertility clinic, in 2018,” she said.

Being a tech-focused platform, We are Tech Women goes into the detail of our product, and why the fully-customised treatment journey, easily navigated through a mobile app, is so ground-breaking. Individual patients are matched to world-class fertility experts, and have access to virtual consultations and counsellors seven days a week. Our intention is to ensure that their patients are empowered to do as much of their IVF treatment from home (or as close to home as possible), with emotional support at every point in the process. This approach has taken on a whole new approach within the context of COVID-19, where remote consultations and tests have been the only option for most patients.

On a personal level, Caroline shares her career challenges and highlights to date. “Overall, I’m most proud of what we’re working towards on a day-to-day basis – we’re a company with a truly meaningful purpose, dedicated to helping people through one of the most pivotal things they’ll ever experience.” She shares her conviction for supporting women in technology, and concludes the interview with thoughts on how to transform the tech sector, as well as helpful resources for women hoping to pursue a career in tech.
