How we analyse semen
Results from this analysis are reported according to the WHO (World Health Organisation) criteria. It is important to note that semen analyses can vary over time. If your last semen analysis was over 6 months ago, or you have reason to believe your sperm quality has changed, we would recommend that you repeat the test.
Where do tests take place?
We offer at-home fertility testing - we send a clinical-grade diagnostic test to your door. You have the option of visiting a clinic close to home if you'd prefer.
You take your thyroid and AMH test with a simple finger prick blood test and return the results to our lab via mail.
Semen analysis testing can be done in the privacy and comfort of your own home, we send the sperm kit to your door for you to take your sample at home and return in the mail. You also have the option of visiting a clinic if you prefer.
Ultrasound scans are carried out close to home, thanks to our network of ultrasound scan clinics around the country.
What happens after I get my results?
You'll have a virtual consultation with one of our specialist fertility doctors to review your results. Your doctor will explain your results to you and make recommendations for treatment and next steps, answering any questions you may have.

Please note that our clinical team reserve the right to request and arrange further investigations at extra cost (if required to define next steps and treatment plan). These could include: HyCoSy, saline sonogram, recurrent miscarriage blood tests, repeating screening blood tests, repeat semen analysis, etc.
If cancelled or rescheduled with more than 48 hours’ notice before your scheduled appointment, you will not be charged. If cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, you will be charged in full for the consultation.
